According to the "Announcement of the State Administration for Market Regulation on the Implementation of Compulsory Product Certification Management for Power Supply Equipment of Electric Vehicles" (No. 50 of 2024) :

Starting from March 1, 2025, designated certification bodies will begin to accept applications for CCC certification of electric vehicle power supply equipment.

Starting from August 1, 2026, power supply equipment for electric vehicles must obtain CCC certification and be marked with the CCC certification symbol before it can be manufactured, sold, imported or used in other business activities.

According to the "Announcement of the Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People's Republic of China on the Release of the Decision on the Designation of the Implementing Body for Compulsory Product Certification of Electric Vehicle Power Supply Equipment" (No. 5 of 2025), CVC Certification has been approved as the designated certification body and designated laboratory for CCC certification of electric vehicle power supply equipment. China Electric Power Research Institute Weikai Certification has formulated the "Detailed Rules for the Implementation of Compulsory Product Certification for Electric Vehicle Power Supply Equipment" (CVC-C25-01:2025) and filed it with the Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People's Republic of China.

Mode 1: Type testing + initial factory inspection + post-certification supervision

Mode 2: Type test + 100% inspection

Note: For a small number of single-batch electric vehicle power supply equipment, certification mode 2 can be selected: type test +100% inspection. A small batch of single-batch electric vehicle power supply equipment refers to no more than 5 units (sets) in the same batch, for which a sales contract has been signed, the sales purpose, customer, and product model have been determined, and the same raw materials and production conditions have been used in the production process.

At present, the CCC certification category for electric vehicle power supply equipment has been officially launched on the Weikai Product Certification Service System. From now on, enterprises can submit CCC certification applications for electric vehicle power supply equipment to China Electric Power Research Institute Weikai Certification.

◆ Certification of the registration certificates (such as business licenses) of the principal, producer and manufacturing enterprise;

◆ Relevant agreements or contracts signed among the certification entrustor, producer and manufacturing enterprise (when the certification entrustor and the producer are different, or the producer and the manufacturing enterprise are different);

◆ Sales contract signed between the producer and the purchaser of electric vehicle power supply equipment or a statement signed and sealed by both parties (applicable to certification Mode 2);

◆ Product description information;

◆ Existing conformity assessment results;

◆ Other necessary documents.

In accordance with the 50th announcement of the State Administration for Market Regulation in 2024, under the premise of controllable certification risks and ensuring certification quality, our institution actively accepts existing conformity assessment results to reduce the burden on enterprises and facilitate their obtaining of certificates. This institution assesses the validity of the provided materials and, if necessary, makes supplementary arrangements for testing and/or factory inspections.

The list of key components and materials for compulsory product certification of electric vehicle power supply equipment (including sample submission requirements) shall be subject to the resolution issued by the technical expert group of the Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People's Republic of China.
