Singapore Water Efficiency Labelling Scheme (WELS) Requirements
Singapore's Water Efficiency Labelling Scheme is divided into the Mandatory Water Efficiency Labelling Scheme (MWELS) and the Voluntary Water Efficiency Labelling Scheme (VWELS). The Mandatory Water Efficiency Labelling Scheme (MWELS) was introduced by the Singapore’s National Water Agency (PUB) in 2009 as a successor to the Voluntary Water Efficiency Labelling Scheme (VWELS) launched in 2006. The scheme aims to assist consumers in making purchasing decisions that better align with their needs by clearly indicating the water efficiency ratings of products.
