The Japan Electrical Appliance and Material Safety Law (DENAN) has divided “electric appliances” into two parts: 115 kinds of products regulated under the DENAN law are categorized as Specified Products (SPs) which are required for mandatory certification and shall carry diamond-shaped PSE marks; 338 kinds of products are categorized as Non-Specified Products (NSPs) which are not subject to mandatory certification, but requested for a Declaration of Conformity and shall carry the round PSE mark.

Authorized by the Japanese government, CVC has become the authorized testing laboratory for PSE approval since May 2007. CVC can provide PSE Mark testing and certification services for three categories of products including wires and cables, electric accessories and electric motor-operated appliances, and the organization authorized by Japanese government to award PSE certificate is China Quality Certification Center (CQC) . Since then, Chinese manufacturers and exporters of electrical and electronic products has a convenient new channel to enter into the Japanese market!
