EU has enforced RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) Directive since 1st, July, 2006. Electrical and Electronic products are prohibited in the EU if there are unacceptable levels of one of six substances: mercury (Hg), lead (Pb), cadmium (Cd), hexavalent chromium (Cr6 +), polybrominated biphenyls (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE).
CVC can not only provide clients with safety and performance testing, but also testing for RoHS compliance including material analysis, content of hazardous substances for materials, electric components/parts and final appliances. We issue conformity certificate which is accepted by EU and in compliance with the RoHS Directive.

RoHS 2.0
The proposed revised RoHS directive proposal is called RoHS 2.0, which aims to improve enforcement of substance restriction while expanding the scope of products that must conform to the legislation. Future versions of RoHS may also add additional substances to the RoHS list, including hexabromocyclododecane (HBCDD), bis-2-ethylhexyl phthalate (DEHP), butly benzyl phthalate (BBP), and dibutylphthalate (DBP).
CVC will keep following updated information of RoHS 2.0 and offer the best testing & certification solution for enterprises in electric and electronic industry.
