—— A passport for products to enter EU market
CE is a mandatory conformity mark for the EU member countries, which is greatly helpful for Chinese products exporting to European countries.
Different from other voluntary safety approvals in EU member countries, all electrical and electronic products listed in Table 1 (except for plugs and socket-outlets) can be affixed with the CE-Mark by making a Declaration of Conformity (D.O.C.) and directly exported to 27 EU member countries (Luxembourg, Austria, Ireland, Belgium, Italy, Denmark, the Netherlands, Finland, Portugal, France, Spain, Germany, Sweden, Greece, the United Kingdom, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, Slovenia, Malta and Cyprus regional), Iceland, and Norway, Portugal, Romania, Bulgaria. No more traditional safety approval is needed in principle.
To avoid commercial risks, the manufacturers normally choose to apply for testing reports and conformity certificates issued by third-party organization, such as CVC. Testing reports and conformity certificates issued by CVC are well recognized in EU.
Products listed in 【Table 1】can be applied for the CE conformity certificates in CVC.
